On touching down, the airplane's nose wheel dug into the ground. The airplane subsequently nosed over on to it's back. An examination of the airplane showed the airplane's vertical stabilizer and rudder crushed downward. Additionally the airplane's nose wheel was bent aft, the upper cowling was bent, and the propeller showed torsional bending and chordwise scratches.

Flight control continuity was confirmed. An examination of the airplane's systems revealed no anomalies.
